Lafulafu Ekenasio
Talofa lava I am Vanila Ekenasio, I am also known as Lafulafu (chief title from my mother's village of Fasitootai in Samoa). I live in Wellington and am an elder in Pacific Islanders Presbyterian Church in Newtown. I am also a Sunday School teacher and have taught for many years. I am new to the APW, my role is Communications Convenor and I have the task of ensuring smooth and clear)communication of "news" to the membership. I send out the monthly APW newsletter "Gleanings"
(which is compiled by Nan Burgess as editor, Hazel O'Brien, Shirley Fraser, Margaret Hastie and Lois Robertson.) I also send out news from the National Group and other relevant information for members information. I hope I can also encourage more 'Pacific' groups to contribute news, language and cultural articles for printing.
