The Presbyterian Church’s Global Mission is collaborating with UnitingWorld (of the Uniting Church in Australia) ‘joining together in mission’ and ‘connecting communities for life.’ In particular, UnitingWorld’s Experience programme is open to participants from New Zealand, working via PCANZ's Global Mission Coordinator Phil King.
Through our agreement with UnitingWorld, the Presbyterian Church is able to offer over 100 volunteer Experience Placements with churches throughout Africa, Asia and the Pacific. These placements aim to strengthen links between our partner churches, connecting individuals and communities in meaningful, long-term relationships.
Right now, volunteers are giving their time, energy, and skills to volunteer on behalf of both the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches. All placements are at the specific request of our international church partners. We work with our overseas partner churches, looking at their requirements to find suitable volunteers.
You may be a teacher, a mechanic or a farmer. You may be a specialist in IT, business administration, youth work or public health. Come and share your skills and be blessed by the faith and capacity of our partners as they live out their faith in their own context. Learn more of what God is doing in the world by living in communities and sharing lives in a real day-to-day way.
The Experience programme is committed to a high standard of ethics and submits to all required checks for volunteers relating to child safe practices.
