Meet the new national team of dreamers, planners and schemers for PYM. They’re all passionate about their faith, passionate about young people, and involved in hands-on, full-on, youth ministry in the Pressie network in various spots around the country.
They met for the first time in May and after two days of, yep, you guessed it, dreaming scheming and planning, they worked out a few things – most importantly: Our mission statement: making Jesus Christ known – that’s what it’s all about, and for PYM we want to work at making JC known in 2 ways:
1) offering young people opportunities to grow in their faith in God – looking after our young people
2) providing opportunities for networking, training, resourcing and advocacy to those working in youth ministry – looking after our youth leaders
Watch out for more stuff from the vision team in time to come. The group will meet twice a year to set the priorities of what we need to work on if we’re going to get better at making Jesus Christ known to the young people in our communities.
